NOTE: The directions below are for the text area above the links / forms section of the department touts ( e.g., Guidance and Virtual Library.)

In the CMS, choose to Edit the building department from the Building Home Page.

AHS wanted the capability to have multiple webpages for a single topic (i.e. Guidance). I could have created a link under the "Links" section of Managing Building Departments, but it opened a new window (which I didn't want) and it also lumped these links with my other links to outside websites. It's probably best if I just use this Guidance example to explain.

Here's how I created a subpage under Guidance called College Entrance Testing Info.
1. Create a Content Page that will display your subpage information. My Content Page was College Entrance Testing Info.
2. Open another internet browser window and make sure your Content Page looks the way you want. Looking at your new page, go to the address bar at the top of your browser. Copy the address shown there. The address to my Content Page looked like this:
http://forest.schoolpointesites.com/school_contentPage.aspx?schooliD=1&cid=326 (You can copy text by highlighting it and the pressing <CTRL> C).
3. Switch back to your first browser window and go to your main Building screen. Under Building Departments, I chose Edit for School Counseling. Under Dept Page Content, I added "College Entrance Testing Info". I clicked on the HTML check box which then showed the following:

<P>College Entrance Testing Info</P>

I changed it to look like this:
<A href="http://forest.schoolpointesites.com/school_contentPage.aspx?schooliD=1&amp;cid=326">
<P>College Entrance Testing Information </P></A>

This probably looks daunting to non-techy people, but it really isn't bad. Before the <P>, simply key in <A href=" then paste the address you copied in Step 2. (You can paste your previously copied text by pressing <CTRL> P at the insertion point). Put a close quote on the address. Finally, at the end key in </A>

4. That's it! Hit Save & Close. You've successfully created a link (that doesn't open a new window) to a Content Page.
I hope this helps - let me know if I lost you anywhere!
